The markup isn't. Labs running these tests weekly or daily on multiple sample points go through packs fast. **Public health** rounds it out: swimming pools, healthcare water systems (dialysis units, endoscopy rinse water), and CDC sanitary inspections. ## What actually matters when choosing a supplier Three things: consistent pore size rating, genuine sterility (individually packaged, gamma-irradiated or EO-sterilised), and a grid that doesn't inhibit bacterial growth. Everything beyond that is branding. The major players charge £150 to £200+ per 100-pack.
